The Dilematic Technology

In one of his lesson, Ali Syari’ati said that human being face four kinds of cages in their life. One of these cages is nature. Human being used knowledge to broke the nature-cage. With knowledge, people create technology so they could broke all limitation created by nature. With technology people create better housing than cave so we had better protection from any weather condition. With technology people create electricity that help our life much. People use technology to create lamps, so we could fight the origin darkness of the night. Technology also made people could develop cellular, television, internet and any other technology that familiar with our today living and broke almost all limitation made by nature.

But today we could see that the relation between human being and technology reach a worse position. People can not life without technology. People become addicted to the technology they made and they live with. Modern people can not imagine living without electricity, or cellular, or even television or computer. With this condition, could we say that technology would free us from nature-limitation-cage ? or it has became the new cage for human being ?
